Art, sculpture, architecture, poetry, prose, and science are all part of the same cultural continuum. They also have an inseparable and mutually binding relationship. My art, architecture, teaching, and research have all been based on this fundamental assumption. To quote E.O.Wilson, “The love of complexity without reductionism makes art; the love of complexity with reductionism makes science.” It is the love of complexity that interests me. Add to that time, the fourth dimension, and you have the engine that drives the poetic. Science and art cannot be separated. To do so is to deny one the full palette of creativity. The artists' work is representative of the time in which he or she lives. Time therefore must be understood and embraced.
